Painted Swimsuit

Can you use fabric paint on a swimsuit - will it get ruined because of chlorine in swimming pools?

1. Try a little paint on a small piece of fabric. Swish it through some heavily chlorinated water in your sink. I have no idea what will happen, it may depend on the paint. But by doing a trial run, you can avoid ruining an expensive swimsuit.

3. The fabric paints I have used are usually only good for minimal wear. They do wear well, but washing them does casuse them to fade a bit, so I would guess Chlorine will do the same. Best is to try a small bit. Frankie
4. Just be sure to heat set the paint by placing your suit in the dryer. I painted an canvas blanket and have washed it using bleach several times and it still looks the same.
